Terms of service
Important: By renting a trailer from Flying F Trailers, you agree to these Terms and to the separate Rental Agreement you e-sign at checkout. If you don't agree, don't book.
1. Who can rent
• You must be at least 21 years old (25+ for stock trailers).
• You must hold a valid driver's license that we can verify.
• You must have current auto liability insurance on the tow vehicle.
• Your tow vehicle must meet or exceed the towing requirements listed on the trailer's product page (capacity, hitch class, ball size, brake controller).
2. The rental
Your booking reserves a specific trailer for a specific window. The trailer is provided in safe, road-legal condition, with current DOT tires, working lights, and operable brakes. Pre-rental inspection is conducted with you present; you'll sign a digital inspection record.
3. Use restrictions
You may NOT use a Flying F trailer for:
• Hauling for hire / commercial freight services without prior written approval.
• Off-road or non-paved use beyond reasonable jobsite/ranch access.
• Transporting hazardous materials.
• Use outside our defined service area without prior approval.
• Subleasing or letting another driver tow the trailer.
• Stock trailers: transporting more animals than the trailer's stated capacity, or transporting any animal that is sick, injured, or otherwise unfit for transport.
4. Damage and liability
You are responsible for damage to the trailer during your rental window, with one exception: if you purchase the optional Damage Protection Waiver, your maximum out-of-pocket for accidental damage is $500.
You are also responsible for damages, fines, tolls, or legal exposure caused by your use of the trailer — including overloading, improper towing, traffic violations, and damage caused by livestock you transport.
5. Late returns
30-minute grace window. After that, the late fee is one full day's rental rate for each hour late (or partial hour), capped at a full extra day. If you'll be late, call us at (210) 338-0883.
6. Cleaning
Return the trailer in the same condition you received it. Standard sweep-out is expected. Excessive dirt, mud, debris, or liquid spills triggers a cleaning fee ($50–$150). Stock trailers MUST be washed and disinfected before return or a $150 livestock biosecurity fee applies.
7. Cancellations
See the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
8. Repossession
If the trailer isn't returned by 24 hours past your scheduled return time and we can't reach you, we may treat the trailer as overdue/abandoned and pursue recovery, including reporting to law enforcement. You're responsible for recovery costs.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Flying F Trailers from any claim, damage, or expense arising out of your rental, except claims arising from our own negligence or willful misconduct.
10. Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Bexar County, Texas.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. The version posted at the time of booking applies to your rental.
